It's been a dream from very early in our FCA ministry that included NKU.
We envisioned acquiring a house close to campus that could provide affordable housing for FCA leaders/students and double as a hub for ministry.
This may just be God paving a way for that. The picture is of a house RIGHT BESIDE one of the campus’ main entrances. You can see it in the background.
Previously this was the Christian Student Fellowship house occupied by a couple who were campus ministers. They are now retired and have vacated the property.
NKU and the board of trustees of the organization who owns the home, Challenge Unlimited, have had an appraisal made and are in “active discussions.”
BUT, I was able to get into contact with the point person who is representing Challenge Unlimited on the seller's’ side! It just so happens he's the interim president at CCU where I went to seminary (small world!).
He said there have been no promises made and he’d like to discuss the possibility of the house continuing to be a ministry hub.
At this point nothing is concrete but the door is still open. We already have some general interest from a couple of FCA supporters who would potentially back this project financially.
ALL of that to say...will you join us in prayer that God would show us favor and clear a path for us in this situation for his glory?
Thanks in advance! We trust in him and his goodness regardless of the outcome.
Side by side,
